I hate Mondays.
Simple as that. It could be worse I guess, I could be at work. Blah, work. I had my doctor’s appointment today. She thinks it’s gallstones so I had an ultrasound done today. I go back for blood work this week. I was suppose to today but I was starving by time I got out of diagnostics that I couldn’t wait in the lab. The technician said that she didn’t see anything.:/ My mom said that’s what they told her and she ended up having an infected gallbladder that was really bad and she was off work for a month. Ick, I don’t want that to happen.
I’m amazed at how some people are so productive. I swear some people just don’t sleep and I have also realized I am really, really lazy. I need to get my butt into gear and get some stuff done around here.
On my to-do list:
- Clean the bathroom and kitchen
- Workout ( a wee bit iffy on this one)
- Make dinner menu
- clean out my purse
- Spend 15 min. working on my bedroom closet
- do a load of sheets and towels
Hopefully I can find some motivation. I have to figure out what’s wrong with my dish. It’s not getting a signal. I think one of the painters moved it. I really hate living in an apartment!

I was suppose to work today but woke up dying. I think my gallbladder hates me. I was having chest pains all day yesterday and I woke up vomiting this morning. I felt like crap and I hate calling in but I really couldn’t do too much this morning. I went back to bed and did not get up till 11:30. Hope my boss isn’t too mad. I have a doctor’s appointment Monday for a follow up guess I need to bring this up. Not sure if it’s my gallbladder but after telling my mom all the symptoms that I have been having for awhile she thinks that’s what it is.
Work hasn’t been to bad lately. It feels more like I’m working in a nursing home than tele unit though. I thought I might want to stay here but I don’t’ know. I don’t care for the clientele to much.
So I think I’m going to take it easy and just relax on my couch watching the third season of Grey’s. I am way behind as far as tv shows go. Shows you how much I watch tv.:)
On a positive note, the weather is absolutely perfect here!!! I currently have all the windows open and it feels great!!!!!!!!!!! Of course it’s suppose to be cooler tomorrow. I really need to buy some sweaters. Yuck!
I hate Mondays.
I have the day off but it’s still one of “those” days. Ugh. So here’s Monday’s list.
- We went out to a wonderful dinner last night with close friends to celebrate DH’s birthday. It was really yummy. We went to Houston’s and I have to say it was really good and the service was excellent. It has been years since I have been there.
- I got some stuff from my to-do list done. I gave myself a manicure, cleaned half of the house, cleaned out my purse and did one layout.
- I went online to check my online balance and realized that the water company took out $600. Yeah, they went a little crazy with putting my card through. I can’t get in touch with anyone at the water company but the bank said some of the charges had been reversed but we have to wait and see about the others. If they go through the bank is going to dispute it. Craziness!!!
- I’m going to see the new bond movie with DH tonight.
I have a small to do list today:
- Finish cleaning the apartment
- Call the doctor to make an appointment
- Make my menu
- Make shopping list
- tackle a big pile of mail I have been ignoring
- do a load of towels and uniforms
- Make my workout routines
- brush my kitties
- gather up dry cleaning to drop off tomorrow
- make shopping and errand list
Busy Bee
The last two weeks have been so hectic and busy!!!!!!!!!!!! DH husband and I have been very social the last couple of weeks so that means no time to chill. I so need it and taking the morning to just sit in front of the computer and read my blogs and check my email. I thought I had to go back to work on Tuesday but got a nice little surprise when I opened my calendar. I don’t have to go back till Wed.!!!:)
Work as been better. Still hectic and crazy but I’m getting more of a routine down. I think I know what I want to do now. I think I’m just going to stay on my floor for another year and then try to get into CVICU. Hopefully I can get into CVICU in my current hospital but if not there are two other hospitals that are have excellent CVICU’s that I’ll try to get into.
I have a huge to do list for the next couple of days. I hope I can get at least half of it done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I’m off to enjoy my morning of nothingness before it gets busy!!!!
Disappointment instead of hope…..
Well, one would think that I would be happy waking up to find that there is a democrat in the white house but I’m not. I guess I’m just worried about what kind of state this country is in and I’m not sure that it’s going to get any better. Of course Obama is all about hope and change but like I said I just don’t believe it. Maybe I’m jaded, who knows but I just don’t see it. I have a pit in the bottom of my stomach. The same feeling I got when I heard that Bush had won the presidency. Not good my friends. I thought I would be happy but hey, I go with my gut.
So my friend and husband got into text wars last night. He had to drop it because it was getting really heated. DH husband HATES Obama. He was a Ron Paul guy and he really just dislikes Obama. Our friend basically said he should support Obama because he is colored. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME???????????? I guess I should support McCain because I’m white? I’m sorry but the race thing is old with me. Seriously. It’s freaking 2008 and time for people to fucking get over it. OVER IT! This is why I hate talking politics and religion.
What disappoints me the most is just now people are coming out to vote. I’ve been voting since I turned 18 and I have never seen numbers like this in my life of people voting. All I have to say is if people would have gotten out and actually voted before we wouldn’t be in this mess. People said that the election was rigged during the last two elections but I really don’t believe that anymore. Know why? BECAUSE PEOPLE DIDN”T GET OUT AND VOTE. How can we say an election was rigged when the majority of people didn’t’ vote? Do you know how long it took last presidential election for me to vote? 10 minutes. People claimed that they wanted a change but did they do anything? No, as a country we have to wait until things are crap to make things happen.
So enough about that. I’m going to finish up rescrapping my 1997 album. I have Christmas and New Year’s and I’m done. I’m loving the We r Memory, D ring albums. My other albums are falling apart so I decided to redo them. It also gives me a chance to get rid of pictures of exes. Bonus!:) I’m almost done with Season Two of Grey’s Anatomy. I am really hooked on this show. I’m a tad bit behind on my TV shows as you can tell!!! I need to get the fourth season because I’m getting ready to start season three.
Get out and Vote!!!!!!!!!!!
If you didn’t make it to early voting please get out and vote today. Even if you don’t like any of the presidential candidates at least make your vote count for your district. Also, you really shouldn’t take take the back seat on this, saying your vote doesn’t count. At least we live in a country where we have the right. Yes, our country isn’t in a great place right now but it could be worse. I really don’t care for any of the candidates but I picked the lesser of two evils I guess. I won’t say who I voted for, only my mom, husband and cats know!:) I would really like to believe Obama’s talk but I don’t and well, I just can’t stand Palin. I also can’t stand Michelle, Obama’s wife. For some reason she really gives me the hebbie jebbies. So I hope that I picked someone decent. Of course it doesn’t really matter who wins because it will be at least 10 years before we get out of this mess that Bush got us into. I can proudly say that I have never voted for that man. I warned people…..
So work hasn’t been to bad lately. I might have a chance to interview for something in January. It would be totally different than what I’m doing now and it would be M-F, 9-5. And totally less stress. It’s still up in the air and a couple of months away so it’s a wait and see kind of thing.
